There are a few fun scrambles and some fun ridge walking. I really enjoyed this hike. I recommend wearing pants as most of the adventure down is through sharp bushes and cacti. A map is a MUST have. The trail going up is not the best. Definitely have a map of the trail.
The trail itself deserves 1 star but the experience is worth it if you want an adventure. There was no trail for most of the route. Just no fun dodging between ground prickers for several hours. Loop to top of bushmaster peak. Trail hard to find in spots. Loop on backside is steep with bushwhacking. Use Navigator in the AllTrails app and join the 22 other outdoor explorers who have completed this trail. Bushmaster Peak Loop hard Length 5.
