Shredderz lacrosse san diego

As you may know, Starz Lacrosse has several regional travel teams which were showcased over the weekend. These regional travel teams pull from a broad region throughout Starz territory, and have been turning heads on the recruiting circuit. For more coverage of the event, be sure to check out the West Side Lax page. We hope that will only bring some more great Starz Lacrosse action to a field near you.

First up, we have the LA Lazers. As their name implies, the Lazers are comprised of some of the best talent from the Los Angeles area. This is their first tournament appearance together as a team, and the Lazers christened their outing with a tremendous performance over the weekend. Coach Jim Borell also mentioned the athletic play in transition from midfielder Zack Hankhouse Palos Verdes who was a force to be reckoned with both offensively and defensively.

On the offensive side of the ball, Grant Consoletti Oak Park had several snipes for the offense. The Youth team fared well going into the playoffs winning a pair of victories against the Cascade Clash and Laxdawgs before losing a tough semi-finals match against the RC Starz. The boys on the LA Lazers High School team had their first tournament together and bonded faster than any team I have ever coached.

It was an invaluable growing experience. The Starz community was well-represented at the tournament and performed valiantly. Like the LA Lazers, the O. Kings are still in their debut season. Comprised of top-notch talent pulled from throughout Orange County, the Kings took the field this weekend in some fresh purple and yellow unis best in show in my opinion. Despite a valiant effort, the Kings fell to the talented Team Talon.

The Burn brought four teams to the tournament brackets, consisting of two teams at the Elite level and two at the High School level. Ignatius in a non lacrosse fashion. The Burn Orange team and St.

Ignatius decided to put the championship on the line over a game of touch football; Burn was victorious, winning by a touchdown. The team was led by director and Coach Chris Malone at free safety, running back interceptions for touchdowns like Ed Reed. The Elite Orange team played a tough schedule in day one going , losing to the eventual tournament winners, San Diego Shredderz Blue. The offense was anchored and quarterbacked at attack by Arizona State commit Rockne Repp.

The Burn High School Orange team was going hard all weekend before falling short of the championship game and ending there weekend at Russell Bartle and Bradley Nordstrom led the way in the cage for the high school team letting in just 5 goals in four games. Although not to take any credit away from the keepers their defense was stacked with a guy like Robby Leonard who was bumped up from the Burns younger high school team.

It was very evident that the defense was the backbone of the Burns High School Orange. Offenses was still nothing less then stellar with Trenton Fleetham facing off and help from Demetri Tsirigotis and Tucker Wells at midfield. Dakot Rholin dodges against an RC Starz defender. The eldest Laxdawgs sqaud Laxdawgs Brown , is coached by veteran coaches Dan Meehan and John Chrismer , and has fared very well thus far in the winter season.

The Laxdawgs Brown had already taken the Sundevil Sizzler Championship earlier on the year, and was looking to remain atop the podium again in the Adrenaline Challenge. Despite a strong start on day 1, the Laxdawgs Brown fell to the eventual tournament Champion SD Shredderz team after some phenomenal goalie play from Shredderz goalie Eric Sanschagrin.

RC Youth and Middle School teams have been terrorizing the lax tourney scene for years now, and had their sights set on the Adrenaline Challenge.. Congrats boys! Eric Sanschragrin quarterbacked the Shredderz stifling defensive unit. This website uses cookies so that we can provide you with the best user experience possible.
